Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 August 2026. Applies to the TabSet iPhone and Apple Watch app, and to this website.

The short version: TabSet collects nothing. There are no accounts, no servers and no third-party analytics. Your training data is created on your device, stays on your device, and is never transmitted to the developer.

What the app stores, and where

TabSet keeps your presets, your exercise library and your training history in the app's own storage on your iPhone and paired Apple Watch. This data is not sent anywhere. The developer has no copy of it and no way to obtain one.

Two Apple features may hold copies, both under your control:

  • Apple Health. If you grant permission, finished workouts (including heart rate and active energy recorded during them) are written to Health so they close your rings and appear in Fitness. Health is Apple's, governed by Apple's privacy policy, and you can revoke TabSet's access at any time in iOS Settings under Health, then Data Access & Devices.
  • Device backups. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer, TabSet's data is included in that backup, the same as any other app's.

Data moves between your iPhone and your Apple Watch directly over Apple's device-to-device connection. It does not pass through the developer.

What the app does not do

  • No account, sign-up, email address or password.
  • No analytics or crash-reporting SDK, first-party or third-party.
  • No advertising, ad identifiers, or tracking across apps and websites.
  • No location collection.
  • No selling or sharing of personal information, because none is collected.

Purchases

TabSet is free for 14 days and then a one-time purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer never sees your payment details. The app checks with the App Store whether a purchase exists for your Apple Account; that check goes to Apple, not to the developer, and returns only whether the app is unlocked.

Apple provides the developer with aggregate, anonymised sales and download reports through App Store Connect. These cannot identify an individual person.

Files you import and export

Program and backup files are written by you, to a location you choose, such as Files or iCloud Drive. Importing reads a file you pick. Neither uploads anything.

This website

tabset.app is a static site on Cloudflare Workers. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers, which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.

The JSON validator on the Programs page runs entirely in your browser. The file you paste is never sent anywhere.

Cloudflare processes the site's traffic and, as any web host does, handles connection data such as IP addresses in order to serve pages and absorb attacks. That is Cloudflare acting as the developer's hosting provider under its own privacy policy. The developer does not receive visitor-level logs from it.

Children

TabSet is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Rights such as access, correction, portability and erasure (under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA and similar laws) apply to personal data a company holds about you. The developer holds none, so there is nothing to request, and nothing to delete on your behalf.

In practical terms you already hold every control: export your data with Export All or a JSON backup, and erase it by deleting the app. Revoke Health access in iOS Settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
